Our journey in the History
of Rome begins at the Palatin Hill, from the Hut of the First King of Rome
- Romolo - to the splendid Domus Augustiniana, the dwelling of the first
Emperor Augusto and his wife Livia, to the immense ruins of the imperial
Palace of Domiziano. |

From the "Sacred Way", where the great processions
of triumph that the Senate of Rome assigned to the Victorious Consuls were
carried out (but only if they had conquered new territories and killed
more than 5000 enemies), we arrive to the Foro Romano. |

The Foro Romano was the political and administrative
centre of the Romans who gathered here in order to trade, discuss law or
simply in order to shop in the "Tabernae". From the Basilica Emilia, with
its splendid raffigurations of the Rape of the Sabine, we reach the Curia,
the centre of the Senate and, after having passed the Arch of Strict Settimio
we reach the majestic Basilica of Massenzio, one of the biggest buildings
of Imperial Rome. In fact only the head of the Statue of Constantine is
two and a half meters high. After seeing the splendid Arch of Titus we
conclude our walk through the Forum. |

In front of "Via dei Fori Imperiali" is the
monument symbol of Rome, the Amphitheatre Flavio, better known as the Colosseum
A monument approximately 50 meters high, with four floors, where the games
of the Gladiators and the hunting of the ferocious wild animals took place
(Venationes). |

its extraordinary sculptures and reliefs and then finish the Tour in a
typical restaurant to taste a characteristic roman lunch (advised), or
in a fast-food for a quick snack. |
